Patti Brennan Ranked #2 and #12 on Forbes 2026 Top Women Wealth Advisors Lists

Published Feb 4, 2026

100 Women. More Than $400 Billion Managed. One National Ranking.

Each year, Forbes releases its Top Women Wealth Advisors list in partnership with SHOOK Research. The 2026 national ranking recognizes 100 women across the country who collectively manage more than $400 billion in assets.

It is a small, highly vetted group — selected during a year when markets have required unusual discipline. Policy uncertainty, shifting rate expectations, and uneven performance across asset classes have reinforced the value of long-term planning over short-term reaction. At the same time, the wealth management profession continues to evolve. More firms are investing in developing and retaining female advisory talent, and more clients are seeking advisors who bring a comprehensive, planning-first approach.

In addition to the national ranking, Forbes also publishes its Best-In-State Top Women Wealth Advisors list. In 2026, that ranking includes more than 2,800 women advisors across the country who together oversee nearly $4 trillion in assets — a reflection of the scale and impact women now have in the profession.

This year, Patti Brennan was recognized as:

  • #12 – Forbes Top Women Wealth Advisors (National)
  • #2 – Forbes Top Women Wealth Advisors Best-In-State

What Makes This Ranking Different

Not all rankings are created the same way.

The Forbes | SHOOK rankings are not based on advertising, popularity, or paid placement. Advisors do not pay to be included. And investment performance alone is not the deciding factor.

Instead, SHOOK Research conducts tens of thousands of interviews and due diligence meetings — by phone, virtually, and in person. Advisors must meet high experience thresholds, maintain clean compliance records, and be nominated by their firms.

The evaluation looks at both numbers and substance:

  • Assets under management and business growth
  • Client retention
  • Service models and investment processes
  • Compliance history
  • And what SHOOK calls “client impact” — the measurable difference an advisor makes in clients’ lives

Portfolio performance is not used as a ranking factor, recognizing that every client has different objectives and risk tolerances.

A Perspective from Patti

“I’m grateful to be included among women I deeply respect. When I started in this profession, there were so few of us. Today, to stand alongside leaders who are raising the bar for our industry is both humbling and encouraging. These rankings are a reflection of the standard of care, discipline, and integrity our clients deserve. I’m thankful for the colleagues who continue to challenge, inspire, and elevate one another — and for the clients who make this work so meaningful.”

Looking Ahead

Recognition is significant. It signals that the work being done meets a high national standard. The responsibility, however, remains unchanged: Providing fiduciary advice, rigorous planning, and steady leadership — in strong markets and challenging ones alike.
