Patti Brennan,
CFP®, CFS®

A graduate of Georgetown University and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), Patti Brennan is different. Not only does she provide comprehensive wealth management, she and her team create integrated strategies that are unique for each client. Patti is not just a number cruncher. She has the ability to see the impact of small details in the big picture, and is known for communicating complex, financial concepts into simple, meaningful terms.

As a wife and mother of 4 children, Patti has learned to balance the most important job in the world with the needs of a growing company. Her husband, Ed, also owns a business, so their children have a real understanding of what it’s like to be an entrepreneur. Even so, evenings were always focused on family and the challenges they were all experiencing in their lives.

Patti is a big believer in giving back to the community and currently resides on the boards of the YMCA of Greater Brandywine, Connect Thru Cancer and Penn Medicine Chester County Hospital Foundation Finance and Investment Committee, as well as other work with the hospital. She is also in high demand in the Financial Services Industry as a frequent speaker on best practices.

Over the years, she has served on Chester County Hospital’s Main Board and is the former Chairwoman of the Retirement Plan Committee, the Chester County Economic Development Council, Southeastern Pennsylvania Development Council (SEEDCO) where she and a few select others approved SBA loans for small businesses in our community. Patti was the Captain of her Georgetown lacrosse team in college, and spent many years coaching young girls in field hockey and lacrosse. She is also a former Chairwoman of the National Advisory Board of Royal Alliance.

Amongst all of those activities, Patti’s favorite position was teaching kindergarten CCD at St Agnes, giving her own 4 children the opportunity to be her “student teacher”. Even many years later, those students still come up to her and tell her that “trashball” was their favorite game in elementary school.

A native of the Chicago area, Bernadette moved east for a job promotion, and has never left. Vince and his wife, Susan, reside in Bryn Mawr with their daughters, Lauren and Emma. In his free time Vince loves to design and build furniture, garden, and get his hand dirty on his cars in the garage. Much to his chagrin, his daughters are following in his footsteps by being avid video game “experts”.

Liz has been married for over 20 years to her husband Paul and they have three daughters; Emily, Ally and Caroline. In 2008, after taking some time off to raise her daughters, she began teaching Pre School at First Presbyterian Church Bucket School in West Chester. She also has worked for four years as a Program Administrator for Cuddle My kids, a local non-profit organization providing services and support for post-operative cancer patients and their families. Spencer Peet

Spencer graduated from the University of Delaware with degrees in Finance and Financial Planning. He began his financial services career down in Jacksonville, Florida with an insurance holding company. Although Spencer was learning a lot in this industry, he was missing his family and friends and made the decision to move back to the northeast to begin the career he had studied for in Financial Planning. It was a move that turned out to be a home run when Spencer found out Key Financial was growing and accepting applications for a Planning Consultant. He was very excited to have the opportunity to work for a nationally recognized firm and is looking forward to learning as much as he can from this award-winning team.

Spencer lives in the heart of Philadelphia and loves the vibrant city life. He travels whenever possible, and during the summer he ventures to his hometown, Rehoboth Beach, Delaware to enjoy the beach and soak up the sun.

Carrie Brennan

Carrie Brennan is the third youngest of the Brennan clan and a 2016 graduate of James Madison University. While pursuing her degree in Communications, Carrie also fueled her creative talents while studying acting and improvisational comedy in her spare time. What started off as a curiosity, quickly developed into a potential career path that moved her to California for a summer to study sketch comedy with The Upright Citizen’s Brigade Theater – originally founded by her two personal “heroes”, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.

Always the practical one, Carrie realized she needed to complete her degree before following her passion and develop a plan that would allow her to continue acting, yet also be able to support herself financially. After graduation, she accepted one of Key Financial’s coveted internship opportunities and quickly put her creative genius to use with every project that was assigned. Bernadette was quick to notice this initiative in Carrie and offered her the position of Communications Analyst at the completion of the Intern Program. Carrie is now helping to spearhead our Social Media research campaign to keep Key Financial’s lines of communication current and up to date with all of our clients and their families.

Carrie is currently attending acting classes at night and on weekends to hone her craft and create a solid foundation for a future in filmmaking. In her increasingly scarcer free time, Carrie also loves to play the guitar and is working on her first screenplay.

Diane Krainik, CFP®

Diane’s attention to detail is as strong as her ability to see the big picture. Her past experience as a corporate controller for a major corporation has given her the skills to evaluate complex financials and communicate the results in a user friendly format. She enjoys digging into a plan and helping create a path to financial security for our clients. There is no plan too complicated for Diane to tackle with the same enthusiasm that she brings every day to the office. It should also be mentioned that the Key Financial Planning Department can no longer be referred to as “The Man Cave” by Patti now that Diane has arrived!

She is always ready to listen and has a story at the ready to make you smile if you need a laugh. As an added bonus for everyone at Key Financial, Inc. it was discovered that Diane loves to cook and she makes each Key Financial employee a special treat on his or her birthday.

Bernadette is her office buddy and the two Chicago natives love to reminisce about deep dish pizza, Cubs vs. Sox and of course, Da Bears. Diane lives in West Chester with her husband and young son, and their two dogs.

Michael Brennan, AWMA®

With a passion to explore the financial industry from a behavioral point of view, Michael graduated from Pennsylvania State University with degrees in Economics and Psychology. Upon graduation, he had several wonderful job opportunities with elite financial institutions, but ultimately decided to turn his lifelong internship into his future career at Key Financial.

Michael’s interest in the industry started at a young age when he asked his mother about investing his weekly chore earnings. As you can see, he is a chip off the old block, working long hours and striving to do whatever is necessary to make sure clients are taken care of.

Kristopher Thompson

Kristopher was born and raised in Michigan. Like many other Michigan kids, he grew up playing hockey in the winter and spending time at the lake in the summer. He graduated from Michigan State University with B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies of Social Sciences. His intention was to become a High School history and political science teacher, but because of the immense opportunities bestowed upon him throughout his life, he felt compelled to join the Army after graduation. He served in the United States Army for 5 years, completing US Army Ranger School, Airborne School, Air Assault School, Pathfinder School and Master Resiliency Course training. He served in the 101st Airborne Division in the 2-506 Infantry Regiment (as made famous by HBO ) and achieved the rank of Captain.

He made the difficult decision to leave the military to plant his roots in West Chester with his then-fiancé, Sara. His service to our country and dedication to his position was highlighted by his Battalion Commander, “Cpt. Thompson was without a doubt one of the most competent and inspired Soldiers serving in the ranks of my Battalion. I have absolute faith in his abilities. Kristopher has a keen attention to detail and goes above and beyond to be a master at his profession. He is a driven and intelligent person that continually strives to not only be the best, but to make those around him better in the process.” It is clear to see why Patti took this opportunity to share his leadership and talent with the rest of the Key Financial family. Kristopher has since earned his MBA from Drexel University and excelled in completing additional licensing exams. Working as a Planning and Portfolio Consultant, his keen attention to detail and innate desire to excel in every project he tackles serves our clients well.

In their spare time, Kris and his wife enjoy cooking, but will admit that there is nothing better than a fun date night out on the town. In addition to almost every other Key Financial employee, they are dog lovers and are parents to a 7-year-old ball of energy named Bo and a new addition – a rescue named Bailey. They love going to the gym and exercising and will unabashedly admit that they are rather intense Game of Thrones fans.

Rory Cleary

Rory recently moved back home to the Philadelphia area from Boston, where she spent three years gaining valuable insight and experience working for a financial planning firm. As a graduate from Villanova University in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in Communications, she found herself following in her father’s footsteps in the financial services industry. With a twin brother who also happens to work in finance, Rory was destined to pursue her passion and coupled her degree with her talents in writing and problem-solving – two very crucial elements of financial planning. Rory aced the various licensing exams and has developed a keen analytical mind. She is especially creative using risk management tools to reduce or transfer exposure for clients.

As an avid traveler, Rory loves to go to unusual destinations – she has been to Thailand and Patagonia – just to name a few. In her free time, Rory loves to do yoga, go shopping, and hang out with her friends and her boyfriend. As one of six children, she spends a lot of time with her family cheering on the Eagles and Phillies. She especially enjoys playing with her amazing nieces and nephews during their summer vacations at the family’s Stone Harbor home.

Rory is thrilled to have joined the Key Financial team and is excited to see what the future holds next for her financial planning career!

Michelle Bangle

A graduate of West Chester University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Management, Michelle is the newest addition to our Financial Planning team. Prior to joining Key Financial, Michelle was a Financial Planning Coordinator at a financial planning firm. This practical experience has been an added value to Michelle’s already impressive financial background – allowing her to "hit the ground running" when she joined our Strategic Planning team.

Originally from South Jersey, Michelle grew up riding horses and competing in hunters. What makes this particularly impressive is that she stands barely over 5 feet! While tiny in stature, her heart is huge. She has always had an interest in philanthropy and is particularly passionate about The Casey Feldman Foundation and CHOP. She has hosted a 5K to benefit this distracted driving foundation and then went on to create her own charity with a high school friend to benefit the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

In her spare time, you can find her cooking or hiking and enjoying the outdoors with her dogs. It seems as another dog lover has joined the ranks of the Key Financial team and we are all thrilled to welcome her!

Matt Mainwaring

Matt grew up in Kennett Square, PA and graduated from Unionville High School in 2017. He has always had a passion for numbers and the stock market and with the help of his grandfather, he began investing at the age of 12. That love of the financial markets brought him to Penn State and the Smeal College of Business. He graduated with a degree in Finance in May 2021.

As luck would have it, Patti was looking to expand the Planning Team at Key Financial when she was introduced to Matt through a professional referral. Patti immediately knew Matt’s easy-going personality coupled with his work ethic would mix perfectly with the rest of the team and the culture at KFI.

Matt currently lives in Kennett Square and is looking to move into the borough of West Chester within the next year. In his spare time, Matt enjoys playing golf with his dad and his friends. He also spends a lot of time with family in Avalon, NJ. As an avid Philadelphia sports fan, he loves spending his Sundays at the Linc cheering on the birds.

Drew Nakajima

Drew has always had a proclivity towards math and science and that intellectual appetite led him to pursue an engineering degree at Lafayette College. While there, he honed in on his problem solving and critical thinking skills, while also playing ice hockey for Lafayette’s men’s club team. Drew graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Economics. Professionally, Drew has worn many hats, including technical sales, project management, and design engineering. In all these roles, Drew has most enjoyed the challenge and mental stimulation of technical problem solving. He is also grateful for the invaluable experiences of relationship building through the training programs of these companies, as well as interfacing within their various departments as a project manager.

Having spent the first four years of his career in the industrial/manufacturing industries, Drew sought a career change with a focus on finding a work culture that aligned more closely with his values. He sought out a corporation that offered not only a team-based culture, but also one that offered a “client-centric” mission. Given the opportunity to work part-time doing “grunt work” at Key Financial, Drew quickly realized that this company was different from the other places he had worked. Very impressed by the talented people and client focused atmosphere that drive Key Financial, Drew was emphatic about his desire to join the team. Each department within Key Financial has benefitted from the many layers of talent and intellectual capacity that Drew brings to every project. His great attitude coupled with his ability to adapt has quickly moved him from a part-time employee to a full-time addition to our team.

In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and ice hockey. In the winters, you can find him skiing or building gingerbread houses out of graham crackers! Too bad Patti did not know of his gingerbread house building skills all those years ago when she hosted the famous “Gingerbread House” competitions for her neighborhood!

Stacy Franz

Stacy graduated from Lycoming College with a dual degree in Psychology and Elementary Education. She shaped young minds for many years before changing direction to pursue her passion for floral design. She began operating a small business creating special occasion floral arrangements. The business gave Stacy a new appreciation for finance and she further developed her skills in this area when she began working for a property management company where she helped establish the in-house accounting system.

As Key Financial grew, Patti was looking to expand our Client Services team. She quickly recognized that Stacy’s background coupled with her energetic personality would be the perfect combination she was looking for.

Originally from Northern New Jersey, she and her husband Mark have called West Chester home for the past 19 years where they are raising their two boys Jared, 17 and Kyle, 14.

Jessica Stunda

Jessica is a native of the West Chester area and a proud Villanova alumnus (GO WILDCATS!). She earned her degree in Business Management with a focus on International Business and Information Systems. After graduation, Jessica began her career in the financial services industry and has gained extensive experience in the field. She took a short break from the industry to raise her three young sons, but during this time also managed to balance a position as a pre-school teacher.

Jessica initially joined the Key Financial team as Patti’s Executive Assistant, but then advanced to Client Services where she quickly became a go-to person for our clients. Her genuine warmth combined with her can-do approach to everything she touches is a huge asset as a Key Client Specialist.

Jessica keeps active outside of work raising her children. As a mother of three boys, Jessica is always on the go! She volunteers as a Den Mother, a CCD teacher, and a Team Mom for her sons’ sports, amongst giving her time in various volunteer roles.

Kelsey Miller

Kelsey graduated from West Chester University with a degree in Sociology. Her desire to help people and problem solve is what makes her so valuable in her role as a Key Client Service Specialist. In addition to her warm personality, she has a strong background in the financial services industry. Her value added to the Key team is not only her keen intellect, but her adaptability and desire to take initiative. In the short time she has been with us, she has seamlessly moved into her new role and is actively engaged with our client family in assisting them with whatever they need!

Kelsey lives in Downingtown with her significant other, Jacob and their young son Jake. As many mothers of young children in sports know, Kelsey spends the majority of her free time attending Jake’s games and cheering him on. Chasing after her five year old, helps Kelsey prepare for the half marathons which she competes in every year. For relaxation, the family likes to vacation in Cape May in the summer and cheer on her favorite Eagles team when football season rolls around.

Amanda Cannon

After graduating from Ithaca College with a degree in Liberal Arts, Amanda moved into the corporate world with ATX Communications, a small telecom company in the King of Prussia area. There, she started out as an assistant to the VP of Operations and worked through to the Technical Assistance Center where she worked daily with customers troubleshooting and repairing voice and internet issues. Looking for a different challenge, but still customer-centric, she then began working for Mercedes-Benz of West Chester and Mercedes-Benz of Fort Washington, where she spent 11 years in both sales and ultimately as a Finance Manager for the dealerships.

Having spent the last 6 years in the finance-end of the car industry, it sparked an interest for the Financial Services industry as a whole. Enter Key Financial, Inc. An opportunity had arisen that she couldn’t say no to: to start with a wonderful company, learning as much as she can, and ultimately striving to bring the best experience to our clients. Amanda’s efficient approach to everything she touches is only outshined by her charismatic and easy going personality.

Amanda and her husband, Charlie, live in nearby Exton with their two pugs, (yes, they’re pug people) – Dozer and Smokey. Though the majority of her free time is spent with her family and friends, she also enjoys traveling and kickboxing, (she and her husband are currently both brown belts), and just generally being “in the mix.”

Trisha L. Todd

Patti hired Trisha in the midst of the pandemic. While many businesses were downsizing, Patti saw an opportunity to continue to add talent to our firm. A proud Penn State graduate, Trisha brings close to 15 years of industry experience to Key Financial. It’s no wonder that Patti had to grab her when she could – talent this good is hard to find! Trisha has her licenses in Life, Accident, Health and Property and Casualty. She enjoys getting to know her clients and is that reassuring, friendly voice on the other end of the phone that they have come to rely on.

Trisha grew up in Newtown Square and still resides in the area with her daughter, Nicole. She enjoys decorating her house for every holiday and spends as much time as she can with her friends and family – which is why one of her favorite things to do is to plan fun activities that gather everyone together. As the oldest of 5 children, there are many nieces and nephews to spoil! In the summer, you can find Trisha at the Jersey Shore and during football season she will be cheering on her Alma Mater. Come Springtime, you are sure to find her searching for treasures in Lancaster at antique auctions. She is also active with her local non-profit preschool where she helps with tours and enrollment.

Catherine Crepack

Catherine, “Cat”, to all who know and love her came to Key Financial as Patti’s second hire during the pandemic. Another proud graduate of Penn State, with a degree in Communication Studies, Cat brings 13 years of experience in the financial services industry. She started her career as a Senior Investment Administrator and quickly moved up to the role of Chief Compliance Officer. It was in these roles that she found a love of working with clients through the different stages of life and the financial phases that go along with each stage. Most recently, Cat actively supported pension consultants. She was the second point of contact for clients and shouldered the responsibility of daily administration and management of institutional investment portfolios. She specializes in making sure the client’s experience is as smooth and easy as possible.

Outside of the office, Cat lives in Glen Mills with her 11-year-old son, Mikey, a dog, two cats, and a chinchilla. Most of her free time is spent shuttling Mikey to soccer, lacrosse, or football practices and games. She does find time though, to volunteer in her community. She is the Secretary of her HOA where she not only deals with community business but plans fun events for the children that live there. She loves to volunteer at the Sunday Breakfast Mission and in her spare time, she can be found outside enjoying nature. Camping, hiking, or kayaking are family favorites!

Amy Stout

Amy is a graduate from West Chester University with a degree in Exercise Physiology. After spending five years working in her field of study, Amy was looking for a new challenge and decided on the financial industry. She spent over nine years at S&T Bank, formerly known as DNB First, working in the Wealth Management Department as a Trust Officer/Relationship Manager. Amy’s strengths in this position were building relationships with clients and their families and managing upwards of 250 clients at a time.

One night, while out with friends, Amy learned about a potential opportunity with Key Financial. She chose to take advantage of the fact that KFI was growing and looking to add to its team. Patti immediately saw that Amy’s warm personality and positive “can-do” attitude would fit in perfectly with the culture at Key Financial.

Amy lives in Chester Springs with her fiancé, Jeff, and two teenage boys – Cole and Liam. Amy is on the Board of Directors for the Exton Regional Chamber of Commerce and volunteers her time with Team CMMD, a local non-profit organization, raising funds and awareness for local cancer patients and families. She is also a member of 100 Women of Downingtown; an organization that supports local non-profits with a charitable donation twice a year. Amy has run Broad Street four times, raising money for the American Cancer Society. She has also completed three half-marathons along with countless 5k’s. Her greatest running accomplishment was running three overnight Ragnar relays. But most of all, Amy loves spending her summers with family and friends on the beach!

Katy O’Keefe

Katy graduated from Bloomsburg University in 2019 with a Business Management degree. Having been raised in an entrepreneurial family, she learned early on what it means to work hard and have pride in a career that comes from the heart. As an infectious “people person”, she has compassion for pretty much everyone that crosses her path. So much so, throughout her college years, she considered at great length a career either with children or the elderly. However, she believed she needed to do something that incorporated her passion for business as well. Joining the Key Financial family is the perfect opportunity for Katy to lead with hospitality while taking care of client requests.

Katy’s favorite time of year is when her family gathers down south for their annual summer vacation. Visiting Myrtle Beach has been a tradition since before she was born, so she feels very blessed to call it her second home. Believe it or not, Katy thinks the best part is driving 10 hours with 5 dogs! “It wouldn’t be a family vacation without them!”, she says.

Jennifer Meehan

Jennifer Meehan is a graduate of Loyola University in MD. She majored in Communications with an emphasis in Advertising. After graduating college, Jenn returned to her hometown suburb of Philadelphia where she began a career utilizing marketing, sales, and training skills for Select Office Systems. She was then offered an opportunity to work in sales and marketing for Black and Decker, and was fortunate to travel the country in the position as an Account Manager.

Jenn has been married to her husband Kevin for twenty one years and happily put her career on hold to raise their four children for the last 19 years. Her youngest is approaching high school and her oldest just completed her first year in college.

Throughout that time of managing four children (all 18 months apart), Jenn volunteered in various roles at school ranging from Brownie Leader, to various fundraising events, and most recently, finished her service on the CYO Board at St. Agnes Parish as Director of Social Events. The most rewarding part of balancing her children’s busy academic and athletic schedules is the countless memories that they have made and will continue to make!

Jenn was also one of the very first volunteers at Cuddle My Kids, a non-profit organization that provides support to families who have a parent battling cancer. It is clear to see how much she loves being with children and when her youngest started first grade, she began another career teaching pre-school at the “Bucket School” in West Chester. It was this endless amount of energy and outgoing personality that attracted Patti to Jenn, and Jenn has brought that enthusiasm into her new role as Executive Assistant. Jenn’s willingness to learn and help out where needed has quickly proven her to be a great asset to our team!

Susan Frost

Susan Frost has an eye for art, an agile mind and a heart of gold.

She is a graduate of Florida Atlantic University in Florida, where she received a bachelor’s degree in fine art. During school, this Navy brat had worked as a teller for Bank of America but after graduation, moved to the corporate offices where she worked for the legal and support departments.

After her then-boyfriend, now-husband, Eric received a job offer to work up north where he grew up, the couple moved to the King of Prussia area. Susan was able to transfer to another Bank of America position in remarketing and was given more responsibility in various roles over time.

As her family grew, her interests did as well, and Susan received her Certification for Medical Billing and Coding from Drexel University. She then began working in the healthcare field with Main Line Health in the Paoli Hospital Emergency Department eventually parlaying her financial background as a billing analyst for Main Line Health. While she enjoyed her work, she found that the commute and the cost of daycare for her second child was not worth the expense. Susan decided to take the time to be a stay-at-home mom and lifestyle blogger (of which she still maintains).

When it came time to reenter the workforce, Susan went back to her financial-career roots and combined that with her love of helping people by joining the team at Key Financial Inc where she is Patti’s executive assistant.

Susan, Eric, their daughters Olivia and Emma, and their dog, Harley recently moved to Downingtown. Susan has been making many home improvements from painting to making curtains to recovering the upholstery on her dining room chairs and more. When she is not working on home projects or chauffeuring her daughters to various commitments, Susan enjoys working out, cooking, and watching movies.

Tom Belisari, CFP®

Tom’s charismatic personality and compassion for his clients are just two of the qualities that stand out when describing him. With a degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Finance, he blends his knowledge with 31 years of experience to guide his clientele toward positive financial outcomes in a truly holistic way. Tom sought out a career in financial planning early on and obtained his CFP® license. He "practiced what he preached" in achieving this accomplishment. He is quick to tell others that the best advice he could give his four children as they grew into adulthood was that true success in life is to find something you are passionate about, and then find a way to get paid to do it!

Tom is grateful for the opportunity to work with Patti for the past 15 years. Together, they blend their similar approaches to achieve client satisfaction with their energetic personalities. He always captures the attention of colleagues and clients with his witty stories and banter. Now that he is a grandfather to a beautiful baby girl, "Pop Pop" has a lot more to brag about!

When Tom is not spending time with his family, he can be found listening to music, playing his guitar, spending time outside in his garden or on the golf course.

Danielle Hopkins

Known to many as Tom’s "right hand", Danielle has served as his Office Manager for three years. She truly enjoys the diversity the position offers. From managing distributions to client reporting, Danielle’s attention to detail is seen in everything she handles. A true financial market enthusiast, Danielle avidly watches the daily trends and is known for her decorative office walls lined with financial charts and graphs!

Danielle will be the first to tell anyone that her most important role is found at home. She and her husband of 20 years are quite busy raising three active children and shuttling them back and forth to their various activities and games. A favorite family pastime is heading down for a Flyers game or planning their next vacation. Their favorite summer tradition involves loading the entire family in the car and driving down to Fort Meyers Beach to visit with relatives. Danielle is proud to say that even after all these years, the kids value the family time together as much as the adults do!
